Hello everyone! Festival lovers like Filipinos! Have you already tried joining the biggest festival in Cebu and known as the grandest festival in the Philippines, Sinulog? This is something that you should not miss out on when you visit Cebu.
Sinulog is yearly held on every third week of January which is a combination of religious and cultural events. It is a festival to honor the Sto. Niño (baby Jesus) in the Roman Catholic.
Also, the grand parade day on the third Sunday of January is strikingly visible from the huge number of participants dancing in streets with their colorful costumes and epic performances. It was jam-packed with audiences (Not only Cebuanos but tourists both domestic and foreign visit here) to witness the remarkable activities.

During this season, shopping malls transform their mood into a Sinulog vibe and sell various items such as T-shirts and accessories in connection to the festivity.
On the day of the Grand Parade, I went out and walked around the city. Traffic is always regulated on this day, so you can walk and cross roads freely during the festival.

The girl wearing a Sinulog shirt with a headdress has her face painted. The face paint completes your Sinulog outfit, so most of the people on this day usually have paint on their faces. It's really something fascinating about this moment.

There are many stalls and booths everywhere in the city, so options of food and other items are very wide at affordable prices.

There are streets used for the grand parade, so the people in the area who want to witness the grand activity are regulated to ensure safety for both parties. If you get lucky to stand in a spot where you can easily see up close the activity, you will definitely enjoy the moment.

The final goal of all the performers is to reach the big stage set up in a big stadium in Cebu City and perform their main dance to thousands of people who are also sitting for hours to wait and watch their grand performance.

Looking closer to the queen of the queens, The Sinulog Festival Queen 2019 is dancing with grace and elegance. It is truly an honor to be chosen as the overall queen of the Sinulog Festival.

To top it all, Carcar City Division bags the best in the Street Dance Category and claims the championship award for the second time in the Sinulog-based category. The group will receive a total of P2 million for the two categories and P200, 000 worth of cash prize for ranking first place in Best in Costume and Best in Musicality special awards.
