Daily free after-school lessons resulting in an international contest.
This "Dancesport Team Cebu" dance team took three gold medals in a Hong Kong contest. 200 children take free lessons everyday. "Dancing gives children a purpose in life and helps them avoid doing drugs and crime" says Mr. Loloi. He's been invited to coach overseas but instead returned to dancing in Cebu - "I want to grow the trees in my own garden" he said.

89-years-old and still trying new businesses. "Retirement" is not a word in his dictionary.
Living in Cebu for 35 years, he has served as a Japanese Society chairman, been bureau chief of Manila Shimbun Cebu, and been bestowed honors. Full of physical and mental power, he established a Japanese school last year and is planning on opening an English school too. "I worked in mechanical design and was in charge of production in Japan. Working without resting became a habit" he says. Even now, he goes to the office everyday at 9am and works until the evening.

Starting the popular-in-Kagoshima pig-raising business in Cebu. Contributing by hiring locally.
He began his pig-raising business in San Remegio 4 years ago. Using biotechnology, he created clean pigsties with no smell and raises 650 pigs, shipping 120 to Cebu every month. "I spent money for this business but I learned something I couldn't learn in Japan. I want to continue this operation and contribute locally" he says.
Pig-raising is a popular business in Kagoshima.

Ms. Jennifer began pig-raising in San Remigio with Mr. Nara. "Filipinos love a festival. And you can't have a festival without Lechon." Raising pigs can be expensive and outgoing freight is cheap which can be a worry but, guiding 13 relatives, etc. as employees, from raising to shipping, she manages everything on the farm.

She stayed in Bohol as a Japan Overseas Cooperation Volunteer, developing new attractions that coexist with the environment. She returned to Kagoshima and takes junior and senior high school students to Laos during summer break. "I want to restore experiences so younger generations can become interested in many things" she says.
