Q:Is Cebu's tap water safe to drink?
A:Keep yourself hydrated but do not drink tap water.
Cebu's weather is hot and humid , so you have to keep yourself hydrated. However, drinking tap water in Cebu may become a concern for you that it is unsafe to drink. In the case of buying ice for drinks, buy distilled ice from convenient stores or supermarkets. Most local stores will use tap water to make ice.
Q: In the case of being stung by a jellyfish
A: Following the sting, you should immediately do the steps below.
1.Immediately stay out of ocean water.
2.Rinse the affected area with vinegar or other commercial sprays available.
3.Remove the tentacles while still rinsing. The tentacles can keep stinging as long as they are in contact with skin, so wear gloves or put plastic bags on the hands.
4.Apply a heat pack or immerse the affected area in water of a temperature at least 113 °F or 45 °C for 40 minutes.
5.If vinegar and hot water are unavailable, carefully remove the tentacles. Be sure to protect your hands while doing this.
6.It is important to see a doctor within a few hours if there is an open wound to avoid more complications.
