The Way to Go from Cebu to Bohol

Bohol-Panglao -The friendly neighbor of Cebu and the heart of the Visayas Region!-

It takes about two hours one-way from Cebu to Bohol's capital city, Tagbilaran, by high-speed boat (like OceanJet, Supercat) and roughly P1,000 round-trip. You can purchase tickets at Pier 1, where the high-speed boats arrive and depart from however, we recommend you purchase the tickets at travel agencies in Cebu City. Compare a variety of routes depending on your purpose, preferences, and budget.
When it comes to sightseeing in Bohol, there are travel agencies in Bohol, of course, but also many operating in Cebu too! Day trips, one night stays, they arrange tours depending on your time and budget. Give them a try!

Bohol-Panglao was created with help from the Government of Japan and funding support from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). The Bohol-Panglao International Airport has been dubbed the first eco-airport in the country. It's equipped with green and sustainable structures such as solar panels and motion sensor lighting, just to name a few. The airport was built to accommodate 2 million passengers a year, with a projected rise to 3.4 million passengers a year by 2030.

Design Inspiration

Famous attractions in Bohol played a great part in designing the airport. The multi-curved roof is inspired by the Chocolate Hills and the seemingly floating structure imitates the "rolling waves” surrounding the island. The terracotta color of the tile floors are inspired by the old churches of Bohol and the ivory color of the walls is the same color as most architectural structures in Bohol.
